Terms of Service
Updated 25 October 2026
The service
Spendpoint keeps a ledger of expenses that you record through an AI assistant of your choice and answers questions about it. It is offered as it is, as a personal tool, by its operator.
Your account
- You need a working email address that is yours, and a password you keep to yourself. You are responsible for what is done under your account and by the assistants you connect to it.
- One account per person. You may disconnect any assistant, reset your password or delete your account at any time.
- Your assistant's provider has its own terms; Spendpoint is a separate service and not affiliated with it.
Acceptable use
- Use Spendpoint for your own expenses, or for records you are entitled to keep.
- Do not attempt to reach another person's data, to circumvent the limits, or to disturb the service.
- Fair-use limits apply: 300 captures a day, 100 categories, one message an hour to an address, and a ceiling on the number of accounts.
Your data
Your ledger is yours. You can export it at any time in plain formats and delete it at any time. The Privacy Policy says what is kept and for how long. The operator does not read ledgers, sell data, or use it for anything but running the service.
What you should not expect
- Spendpoint is provided without warranty of any kind. It may be unavailable, change, or be discontinued. Reasonable notice of discontinuation is given through the service and on this site, with time to export.
- Spendpoint records what your assistant reads from a receipt. The assistant can misread; the service checks arithmetic, not truth. Confirm what was recorded.
- The transcription is kept as evidence of what was recorded; whether it satisfies any tax or accounting rule is for you to judge.
- To the extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and liability for direct loss is limited to the amount you paid for the service, which is nothing.
Ending
You may leave at any time on the account page. The operator may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms, after notice where practicable.
Changes and law
If these terms change, the date above changes and material changes are announced before they take effect. Nothing in these terms removes protections you have under the law of the place where you live.
